Spring Weekend

We had great weather this weekend and we got to spend most of both days outside. Uncle Kenny came to visit too, so we made him participate in all manner of outdoor games.

On Saturday, we went to Taunton to visit Grammy and Grandpa and spent a lot of time in the yard playing baseball, soccer and kicking around the purple ball (Maddy's best friend.)

On Sunday we spent all afternoon in a park having a picnic and enjoying the weather. We saw some other people flying kites at the top of the hill and thought we'd get out the kite that's been in my car's trunk since last summer. What could be easier than flying a kite, right?

Well, apparently lots of things are easier, including nearly impaling nearby children.

Aside from the kite flying failure, we had lots of fun. Maddy kept throwing herself down the hill (I suspect inspired by the Wiggles song, "Rolling Down the Sandhills".)

At the bottom of the hill was a big pile of hay.....very exciting!

Before we had to take Uncle Kenny to the bus station, they got to have one race down the giant slide.

It was a great weekend!
