Circus of the Senses

This morning, Maddy got to attend the Big Apple Circus, Circus of the Senses. This is a special show, performed free of charge for kids with visual impairments.

It was very cool to see the huge tent right in the middle of Government Center in downtown Boston.

And while we waited to go in, Maddy discovered that she really likes eating Smarties candy (like mother, like daughter!)

Once we got inside, I could tell this was going to be a really great circus. There was only one ring, and the venue was so small, every seat was really close.

Maddy loved being up close to the action, and it kept her attention the whole time. She loved the clown with crazy-tall hair best, but she saw lots of other amazing things as well. Like a beautiful horse running out of the fog.

A man riding two horses at once.

And the grand finale, an acrobat in the 'wheel of death'.

We had a great morning! I just hope that Maddy doesn't run off the join the circus now!
