Maddy is an avid nature lover. She won't walk past a single leaf without stopping to examine it. It makes for some slow going (if you really just want to go from point A to point B) but I really appreciate how Maddy forces us to really appreciate the beauty around us.
After a picnic lunch, we explored the farm. There was a beautiful old red barn to visit.
As well as lots of animals. Chickens, pigs (and piglets!), cows and horses.
Maddy got to drive an antique tractor.
The highlight of the day was a hayride around the farm.
Eventually, Maddy ran out of gas...
...but on the way back to the car she got a second wind, literally!
We had a great day, and we even had time to carve some pumpkins on the porch when we got home.

Looks like another great family day! I love the pumpkins - I can't wait to carve ours on Saturday!
