Camping, Attempt #2

After keeping a close eye on the weather forecast, we decided to give camping another try this weekend. Friday afternoon, we drove back up to the White Mountains in New Hampshire and set up camp. Maddy was a big help, collecting sticks for the fire.


Happily, Saturday morning we woke up to a dry tent and a nice day.



After some pancakes, we drove across the Kancamagus Highway to Loon Mountain where we took a gondola ride to the top of the mountain.



At the top of the mountain we had a picnic, and did some exploring the glacial caves.



We also went to the top of the observation deck to take in the view.



Then we went back to our campsite, kicked the soccer ball around a little...



...had some dinner and then took a walk to the river and covered bridge nearby.



We had a great time. I think Maddy has found a new favorite pastime!



Maddy says, "When can we go camping again?"
