Saturday

This morning we decided to go to the Museum of Fine Arts to see the dollhouse exhibit that I'd been hearing about. Maddy loves riding the subway. She's quite the seasoned commuter these days.

The exhibit was really cool, though it was hard to explain to Maddy that she couldn't touch the dollhouses. Note to self: taking a newly walking toddler (and one whose intoxicated by the new freedom!) to the MFA = a really bad idea. Maybe we'll try taking her again when she's 19.

When we came home, we decided to put up the tree. Maddy says, "Ah, how I love the smell of a tree, fresh from the basement!"

This year, Maddy was really interested in helping to decorate.

It was amazing watching her walk back and forth to add decorations. Next year we'll explain the concept of spreading the ornaments out beyond one branch!

Now, if we can keep her from pulling the tree over for the next month we'll consider it a successful holiday season.
