Playoffs, Week 2

Bob's surgery went smoothly and we had Grandma around for a few extra days so we subjected her to lots of basketball!

First thing on Saturday morning Audrey had her last basketball clinic with Coach Ted. She really loved playing, and even got a basket in one of her scrimmages. (I know I'm biased, but she seemed to get it a lot more than the other kids...she actually dribbled in the scrimmage!)

And then we went up to Gordon College so Maddy could get back to the second weekend basketball tournament. Her team defeated the another Marblehead team to get into the semifinals!

We had some time to kill before they had to play again in the evening so most of the team went to the mall for lunch. And then a trip to Claire's Boutique...

...And then ice cream. It felt like Maddy was having a very "tween" kind of day and it was really great to see her enjoying spending time with her basketball friends.

I think Grandma enjoyed her afternoon in the mall, but that surprised no one.

Sadly, the 5th Grade Vikings fell to Danvers but they put up a good fight!

We could not be more proud of Maddy and all she accomplished this year.
